Alex was a stalwart of the insurance industry, to the great benefit of Holborn and its clients, as well as the trade associations for which he served, including a period as President of the International Association of Claim Professionals.  His professional acumen was only surpassed by his genial personality and caring demeanor, exemplified by his tendency to end most conversations with a joke and a smile.

Alex joined Holborn in 2017 as Senior Vice President, Claims.  He brought to Holborn an unparalleled expertise from three decades of (re)insurance industry experience with various institutions including Markel, Gerling Global / Constitution Insurance, Chatham Reinsurance, Mercantile and General Reinsurance / Toa Reinsurance and Liberty Mutual, where he began his professional career in 1984.  Over that time, Alex earned the CPCU, AIC and ARe designations.

“The loss of Alex goes beyond words. He was much, much more than a colleague,” said Mr. Frank Harrison, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer.  “He was a true gentleman, a leader, a family man and a brother to us all. He will be sorely missed.”
