There are presently two active storms in the Atlantic Ocean, Ophelia and Philippe, but neither poses a threat to U.S. exposures. Now past the peak of hurricane season, sea-surface temperatures in the Atlantic are beginning to cool, which will make it increasingly more difficult to sustain strong storms – particularly those affecting the northeastern United States.
Our next scheduled update for the Tropical Weather Edition will be on October 17th and our last scheduled update will be on November 1st.
