Intelligent Insurer named Holborn’s own Stephanie Gould Rabin as an Influential Woman in the summer 2016 issue. Ms. Gould Rabin joined Holborn’s ranks in January and we couldn’t be more proud to have both her contributions to Holborn and throughout her career recognized.

The article features two responses to the longer interview.

What has been the highlight of your career so far?

I have kept in touch with many of my former hires, employees, and mentees through the years. It is a key highlight for me to see their growth and success in the industry and to know I had a small part in their development and success. If I had to choose for my own personal career, I’d say my role at Holborn. It is the culmination of the hard work I have done in the industry as I am able to help our company and our clients by leveraging all my knowledge and skills from the technical/business angle to the human capital/organizational development one.

What has been the biggest challenge you have encountered?

The biggest key to successful growth in any industry is finding a sponsor to help marshal you through. Particularly in the reinsurance broking world, this can be a challenge to find. Hard markets make it difficult to keep clients, and employee learning and development can often fall by the wayside; similarly we see this during soft markets. My career has seen peaks and troughs (hitting all-time lows and highs) so, for much of my career, I have been using pure muscle to further myself and build and develop my career progression.
