Holborn Continues to Expand Broker Ranks

New York, NY, October 19, 2011—Independent reinsurance broker Holborn Corporation today announced the appointment of Wesley J. Zeliff, Jr. and Shinji Ueda as vice president and assistant vice president, respectively, in the firm’s New York City headquarters.

Mr. Zeliff replied, "Both Shinji and I are pleased to be a part of such an exceptionally capable and well regarded firm."

Wes Zeliff arrives at Holborn from U.S. RE Corporation, where he served as a senior vice president responsible for domestic production and placement of treaty reinsurance. His background includes a breadth of experience in reinsurance, gained with firms such as Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Reliance Re, English and American Insurance, and Continental Insurance/MOAC Re, where he began his career with a focus on marine risk analysis. Mr. Zeliff graduated from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and foreign affairs.

Shinji Ueda also comes to Holborn from U.S. RE, where he worked on property catastrophe placements in the Gulf region and in the analytics and modeling area. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2001 from Cornell University, where he focused on industrial and labor relations.
